The Transition Lamp was developed as an assignment to visualize the story of the energy transition. Inspired by the Tesla coil, the lamp takes on the appearance of a technical, almost extraterrestrial, object that is captured as if frozen in mid-movement.

Through the use of strobe lights, lasers, and colored LEDs, the lamp expresses electric speed, power, and transformation. Light becomes a metaphor for energy itself: dynamic, intangible, and constantly in flux. By suspending this motion in time, The Transition Lamp reflects on an evolving energy landscape; one defined by technological change, experimentation, and an uncertain yet charged future.
