Triptych designed for the exhibition Kunst en Kunststof at De Domijnen in Sittard.
We question our relationship to makeability and nature. The crushed artificial plants reminds us of herbaria, books in which we archive plants by drying, crushing and drawing them as realistically as possible. The plant, once an exotic and medicinal object of study, is nowadays primarily efficient. By presenting the artificial plant again as an exotic object of study, it becomes the ultimate icon of a perverted ideal of makeability.
